Blog 2nd December 2009

Oh what a week – from testing and measuring the color that most people associate with relaxation… (The answer was blue!) To finding out if people believe in love at 1st sight? Which most people do!... it sure has been a busy auld week! I’ve been filming video footage for Colorgenics Goldin Universe website for a few days and deciding on which color top to wear was actually quite funny. I had originally decided on a blue top – but on the morning of the shoot… I just felt like I needed to wear purple… funny how the mind guides us in what colors it feels it needs at a particular time! So purple it was! You can check out one of my videos on my profile or on the homepage!

BLOG 24th of November 2009

So another week gone by and what a week it was… I went to the Kilkenny Hotel in Co. Kilkenny in Ireland… and I have to say that the colors in the hotel had such a negative effect on me – that I had to leave!!! That’s right, I actually couldn’t stay a second night in the hotel because the colors on the walls and carpets were so dark and depressing that I just wanted to get out of there. Now it’s good to remember that just because I found those colors depressing – doesn’t mean that you will! Colors affect us all in very different ways – so what I deem as dull – another person might call modern or artistic!! So it’s an individual thing!

Kate Jane's Blog - 16th November 2009

Let’s start my weekly thoughts on this week’s X Factor – the glitz and glamour of the show just keeps on pulling in viewers – hitting an outstanding 14 million this weekend!! The show isn’t as good as previous years…and that’s not just my own personal opinion… (I’ve asked around!!)… But with the Irish duo – Jedward – they are keeping the public glued!! These 17 year old twins have what my father would have called chutzpah (pronounced hutspah – which means they have a cheek!!) Realistically they can’t sing nor dance – but by god do they have charisma, personality and the confidence to stand up there week after week – trying to Find Themselves!!  Their coloured shiny outfits dazzle the world – some like them – some hate them – but either way they are out there – living the dream…. I wonder what their colorgenics would tell them!! Smile

Stress: and how to cope with it!

The human mind operates a bit like a computer, the feedback it gives the body depends a lot on the programming of the mind. If the mind is programmed to take life over-seriously and extra sensitively, it will produce a sense of anguish and torment for the mind, which in turn will cause stress in the body. On the other hand, if the mind is programmed to take life as a fun and spontaneous adventure, then it will produce calmness and positivity within the mind and a relief of stress in the body will result. So what I’m ultimately saying is that you need to have control over your own mind.  You need to be the one who decides how you are going to feel. Mind-Control, which can be learned through hypnosis, will provide a means of purposely and deliberately programming your mind in order for you to get the desired feedback your body needs; i.e. less stress!
